Sizing Guide
How
much protection do you need? Use the guide below to
determine your lumber covering requirements.
Length - The cover
length should be at least the length of the unit to allow
for top-cap coverage. However, it's common practice to "drop" the
protection over the ends in addition to the sides.
Drops are usually equal to the height of the unit allowing
a "Christmas Wrap" style end seal.
Width - your
coverage should, at minimum, cover the top of your unit.
Again, many mills and yards choose to incorporate a 'drop'
to protect the sides as well. In addition to added
protection, this allows for a prominent display of your
company logo or branding with printed lumber wrap. Calculate
Width: Unit Width + (2 x Drop) |
